In short: your videos never leave your device. We have no accounts and no cookies, we count visits anonymously without identifying you, and we do not collect or sell any personal data.
Your videos
Instant Compress compresses videos entirely inside your web browser, on your own phone or computer. When you choose a video, it is read from your device, compressed by your browser's built-in video encoder, and the result is given back to you to save. Your video is never uploaded, and no copy of it, its contents or its metadata (such as the file name, location or date) is sent to us or to anyone else. We cannot see your videos.
Information we collect
We do not collect personal information. There is no sign-up, no account, no contact form and no advertising on this site.
Visit statistics
To see how many people use the site, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first tool. It does not use cookies, does not store anything on your device, does not fingerprint your browser and does not follow you across other websites. It only gives us anonymous totals, such as page views, the referring website, country, browser and device type. It never sees your videos. Nothing is counted while you use the app offline.
Cookies and local storage
We do not use cookies. To make the app work offline, your browser stores a copy of the app itself (the page, the video engine and the icons) using a standard feature called a service worker cache. This copy contains no information about you or your videos. You can remove it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, when your browser downloads the page, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. This happens only when the app files are downloaded, never with your videos. Cloudflare handles this data under its own privacy policy; we do not use it to identify you.
Third parties
We do not share or sell any data, because we do not collect any. The video engine (Mediabunny, MPL-2.0) is served from this site itself, not loaded from another company's servers.
Children
The site does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If we ever add something that changes how data is handled, for example advertising, we will update this page and the date above before it goes live.
